Waste of time
tl:dr; Recruiter doesnt know what happens in interview, so he would ghost you out with no proper answer. Founders are clueless on what to ask.
Coinswitch was the biggest waste of my time in my job search.
I had around 6 rounds of interview.
About interview rounds:
I had a initial round with one of the stakeholder, who would end up asking you all high pressure environment questions and more on people management. nothing major.
Until this, the recruiter would follow up nicely with you, be all friendly. Next round is face to face. They had 3 rounds that day.
System design: The interviewer is super experienced. He is wasting his talent in staying in this company. He didn't have anything major to ask on FE, but did high level system design scale based questions.
Next two rounds would be very confusing. The hiring manager, would have his laptop and mobile notification loud. There would be constant notification noises coming in which doesnt impact him. For me it was so distracting that I had to tell him after 10min to keep the notifications silent. His round was more on how I handled tough situations in the company and team. Another people manager round. No technical here. Its very vague. Not sure what he wants.
Last round was with founder. This chap would ask you tell me all the tough situations you had dealt in past. I narrated around 8 incidents. He was like I want more more more. I asked him what he wants, there is no answer. I feel he wants to understand what happens if nuclear bomb falls and how do you handle your team and project then.
Super vague round.
Till here it felt things are fine. I kept following the recruiter about feedback, he kept saying that he wasnt in office so couldnt give any. Then started apologizing that he would sent tomorrow. Tomorrow never came. Literally ghosted me. Super unprofressional company. Waste of time. NO proper feedback given. Vague rounds.
I would not recommend this company purely because of the Hiring manager, founder rounds and how recruiter ghosted the entire time.
