I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cognitran (Birmingham, England) in Jun 2021
Interview
via Agency - initial informal interview with agent, then some pre-reading sent for the role. Interview itself was one stage, fairly detailed and friendly, remote. I was offered the role for which I accepted depending on the contract, however before I had opportunity to digest and read the contract details the offer was pulled. Draft contract provided late afternoon on one day and withdrawn the following morning, considering I work full time already and have personal commitments, its not something I wished to rush but the expectation was to give a 100% acceptance. Rather odd.

Question 1
Very experience specific to experience noted on my CV
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cognitran (Chelmsford, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
2 interviews, 1 phone, 1 face to face.
Phone interview was technical, very specific questions, to the point. The HR lady was typing my answers as i spoke. Later found out that HR/office support took telephone interviews, questions and answers are given to them via spreadsheet and they type the answers which they will then submit to hiring manager.

Question 1
2nd interview was mainly on agile methodologies, use of Rally/Jira, architecture design, responsive design, xml, html. Previous job, why Cognitran and then they gave me an exercise to do....
Scenario: selling an mp3 player.
I had to talk them through the design, the sales pitch, what content will be covered on the website about the mp3 player, who will build the website, what tools are needed to build the website, will the website be responsive, how much traffic will flow through the website, how will you manage the traffic on a website.
Interview was difficult, 3 people, 2good cops, 1 really bad cop, it went well, got an offer following day.
