I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CodeNotary in Sept 2023
Interview
The company gives no requirements for the assignment, so how do they expect to receive results? Nobody talks with you before you give them an assignment.
The company sent me a take-home task before any interviews. They gave a week to accomplish but with the possibility to extend.
The task was absolutely blurry. They gave me an API and told do some fullstack app using the API.
No more details.
I spent much time on the task to make it the best possible. Made a very high-quality app.
I saw that spent already a lot of time and told the company that I didn't implement unit tests because it's already too much effort.
In the end, I was rejected because I didn't for something that was never in the requirements.
They didn't even check my code. Just a short rejection.
That's not nice at all. No feedback. No interaction. No requirements.
It represents the company from a very bad side especially when it positions itself as an Open Source.

Interview
After a take home assignment I was interviewed as if I did not do that: classic 1.5 hour live coding + various questions about architecture and "how would I do this or that"
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
they tried and make me talk about design patterns but without actually asking directly
In the first call, She asked my background, salary expectation and some weird unrelated technical questions. I told her that the questions that she is asking absolutely not relevant. If you're up for unraveling the mystery of random and unrelated questions, here's your chance!
