Interview
We had originally agreed on a date/time, but the morning of our interview (about an hour before it was supposed to start) I received an email stating that my interviewer got out of a meeting late and was running behind on her workload so she asked to reschedule. Instead of sending her calendar, it became a back-and-forth of trying to find a new time. I eventually asked her to send me her calendar and we rescheduled it for later that same week.
She was 5 minutes late to our rescheduled interview and neither acknowledged it nor apologized for it. I thought the interview went very well, especially because she had asked me what stage of interviewing I was in to determine how quickly to communicate with me. I told her I've received a few offers and am actively interviewing. She then said I should hear back the next week from her about next steps.
It is now the "next week," and I haven't heard a single word back about next steps. I completely wasted my time with this company and advise anyone who is considering interviewing with them to re-think it. In this job market where the competition is already so stiff, it is absolutely unacceptable to waste the time of your prospects, especially for a position that requires so much time management. So thanks for rescheduling at the last minute, for being late to the rescheduled interview, and for never following back up with me about next steps. You'd think in the midst of the Great Resignation that companies would start taking employees and prospects more seriously but clearly we still have a long way to go to get the most basic respect shown towards us.
UPDATE: 2 hours after this review went public, I received my rejection email. It had zero information on why I was turned down, and I imagine this decision was 100% retaliation for me going public about how incompetent they are. Bullet dodged!!
