I went through an extensive and demanding interview process with Climeworks consisting of three rounds over more than three months. The final stage involved significant project preparation and a two-hour panel discussion.
Despite assurances of timely feedback, my follow-ups went unanswered for weeks. Over a month after my final interview, the role was reposted without any prior communication about my application status. An external recruiter even reached out to me for the same position, which added to my frustration.
While Climeworks has an inspiring mission and ambitious goals, a company's values should reflect not only its mission and words on the wall but also how it treats candidates. Transparency, professionalism, and basic courtesy should be the standard, not an afterthought. The interview process itself was well-structured in terms of tasks and discussions, but I sincerely hope Climeworks improves its hiring process to ensure that future candidates have a better experience.
