First, we are very sad that the interview had such a negative impact on you. Given the nature of our intensity around guarding our front door, we recognize the process is sometimes uncomfortable, but we do not want anyone to be in a position where they feel trapped or unsafe.
On the contrary, we are committed to maintain a culture of freedom and curiosity. We are free to be curious, and interviewees are free to decline to answer or answer in as limited a way as they choose. We believe that all people are powerful because they have the ability to choose. We have no problem with scrutiny of our process, as we are open-handed and set expectations ahead of time that interviewees are free to choose how they will engage. Our interview model is similar to other high performing cultures in that we seek to understand the fundamentals of the person, not just their skills and capabilities. Thank you for your feedback. We value criticism very highly. And we wish you all the best.
