Interview
I applied for the early deadline in September and received an email a few weeks later for a phone interview with the Regional Admissions Manager. The interview mainly focused on scenarios and my background on working with children and on a team. A week later I received an email for a second phone interview (I was away at college so both interviews were via phone). The second interview was about 45 minutes- 1 hour long and similar to the first one but more in-depth. The guy on the phone was very stiff and serious so I was nervous the entire time. By mid-October I heard back from the Admissions office and was put on the waiting list. I waited for a month and eventually got the position.
My advice is to apply early and give scenarios. Also, do your research- talk to past or current Corps Members, CYNY website etc.
Very simple. Quick virtual interview and pretty simple questions. Research their values and what not and you should be good to go. As far as I remember it was a single interview and decision is relatively soon after that.
Really friendly and welcoming. Try to make it as comfortable as possible and share about the work they do. They want to ensure applicants are making the right decisions and that they assess the values.

Done over zoom and not an overly long process interviews are usually conducted by the IM for a school in the city you are applying for but if you have a pulse you should be fine
