I received a request for a phone interview about a week and a half after applying on their website. A scheduling bot allowed me to easily select and schedule a time I was available for the phone meeting with the initial recruiter. ***Important: Citizens is based on the east coast, so whatever time you schedule with the bot will be in EST! I almost learned this the hard way as someone on the west coast haha. The first interviewer I spoke with was awesome! She gave me a really detailed overview of the company and job position and left me plenty of time to ask any questions. We had a very pleasant and easygoing conversation, which gave me a wonderful impression of Citizens right off the bat. That first interview took place on a Thursday, and I heard back the following Monday that they would like to move forward with the process and schedule another interview. Again, the process was very easy and seamless. I was able to schedule the next interview to take place only two days following the request. I met on zoom with the team lead of the department for the second meeting. She did an absolutely fantastic job as an interviewer! I was so comfortable talking with her and sharing my prior experiences. She gave me an in-depth description of the role and her team, all while leaving plenty of room for casual conversations and questions. You know an interviewer does an exceptional job when you leave an interview even more interested in the role than prior. They got back to me in one week with their offer via phone message. I was offered the exact salary I had asked for and 18 days of PTO (as well as other benefits)! Maybe it's because I haven't worked for a decent company like this, but I was absolutely blown away by starting with 18 days of PTO. I'm so thrilled to be a new employee with Citizens! I was treated with respect and professionalism every step of the way, which is something I can't say for many of the companies I interviewed with.
