I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chubb (Whitehouse Station, NJ) in Mar 2017
Interview
I was asked about my prior experience and what i thought the job would be, pretty standard experience but seemed fair and was given time to express myself. Met with 3 people all at the managerial level in underwriting.

Question 1
Describe a time you faced a challenge at work and how you handled it.
My interview with Chubb gave me a strong understanding of both the company’s culture and the expectations of the underwriting role.
We discussed how Chubb operates as a global leader in insurance, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, client relationships, and long-term financial stability. The team highlighted that underwriting at Chubb is not just technical, but also relationship-driven. Success in the role requires analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to balance risk with business opportunity.
3 interviews in total - 1 screening and 2 in-person. Not very technical. Salary for a first-time position is great (associate role). 30-minute interview. 2-3 people will be attending the meeting alongside you.
