I was interviewed by the hiring manager (reporting manager for the role) and a senior member of the team. It was a fixed-term contract. I had been a client of this organization for my CLB test, so I had seen the work culture from the other side of the table. Since it is a government-funded organization, they had all questions printed out and then noted down all answers for each of them. I think all government-funded places do this for audits and records.
It was a cold morning, and with all the huge coat and work baggage I had, they were very helpful and accomodating of it. Very polite, courteous and professional work environment. Interview questions started with skills and experience questions and then went to behavioural and situational questions. As per the job description, they asked me how my experience and skills fit each point and how I could add value. I would have wanted to work there. It seemed like a great place to work, learn and also see the direct impact of your work.
The position was a content developer for a website of a new program they had. So they wanted to know more about the experience in such an area. They asked if I saw their current website and had any feedback for them. They also gave me an exercise. It was to make social media posts on their chosen platforms (any 3 of them) to promote their new program and website. They also updated me when I wasn't selected for the job.
