Catalytic Data Science interview questions

Applied online and had an interview with HR which was fine. I was then asked to take a bioinformatics assessment which I spent three days working on. After sending the files, I had an interview with their CSO to discuss my background. He strongly hinted that I wouldn't be selected because I still had one semester of grad school left, even though I only study part-time. This is something that could have been addressed before I spent three days working on the assessment. A few days later, I was sent a template rejection e-mail.
