Head of People Review Career Karma is one of the best interview experiences I ever had. I interviewed with the entire founding team and key leaders in less than 2 weeks. They are structured, fast and know what they are looking for. Scheduling wasn’t ever an issue for me as the founders took it upon themselves to run hiring and be proactive and available. It is such a huge difference to other processes that rarely give you the time of day, or have you only communicate through a scheduler and give you no feedback or updates. I met with the CEO, Head of People, Head of Community, the CTO and the CPO. Since my main contact was the CEO, he personally scheduled and responded to every question, schedule change and follow ups I sent over. I was most impressed by the already diverse team in place and how overwhelmingly positive and engaged everyone was. That’s definitely a big perk of joining an early growth startup and honestly, so refreshing. As a BIPOC it was such a relief not having to front or cover my experiences. If you know, you know. Everyone was so genuine and real and we were able to have open conversations and focus on the impact I would make and the exciting projects I would get to own. They take culture very seriously and spent a lot of time talking about how to build and scale out the right team, thoughtfully. I’d love the opportunity to work with the team.
