I assisted in the interview process. It went like this: we posted an ad on craigslist, accepted a handful of barely qualified resumes and called the candidates. The first person to show up usually got the job. That is unless an intern was available from UEI (or other tech institutes) in which case, they usually got the job. For me, I was a customer and received a call asking if I could come help, because the network admins had all quit. Since I was looking for a job at the time, I said sure.
