Absolutely Unprofessional Experience with Calix – Wasted My Time and Effort
I rarely write reviews, but this experience with Calix deserves to be called out loud and clear.
The entire interview process took 1.5 months, which is already extremely long. Still, I stayed patient and cleared every round. Finally, I was told by HR that my onboarding date was May 19, 2025. I was genuinely excited and made all the necessary arrangements.
Then the shocker came. A few days later, when I called to follow up on my offer letter, I was casually told that the company has decided not to hire for the role anymore.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
I was literally at the station, ready to move to Bangalore for this role. No one had the basic courtesy to inform me in advance. After all the effort I put in, this was how it ended, zero communication, no explanation, and complete disregard for a candidate's time and energy.
I was told to be available ASAP after clearing interviews, and then suddenly they just shut the hiring down without even a heads up? This is utterly unprofessional and, frankly, disrespectful.
Even service-based companies that get criticized all the time handle things more responsibly than this. I had high hopes from Calix, but this was honestly one of the worst hiring experiences I’ve ever had.
If this is how they treat potential employees, I can't imagine how they treat actual ones.
Extremely disappointed.
