I applied on indeed and then drove by and saw the now hiring sign outside of their facility. It was my top choice originally based off location and the benefits/bonuses given compared to others around. So I went in and handed in my resume and cover letter and they asked if I could come in the following day for a sit down interview. I came in the next day and interviewed with the director. Every thing went great and when she asked about salary I told her my hopes but made clear it was definitely negotiable. She said "we would love to offer you the job I just need to run your credentials through our system to get the salary offer figured out. I'll do it this afternoon." So I excitedly, and hastily (my own fault), turned down other interviews because I thought I'd have an offer that afternoon or the next day. When nothing came that afternoon or the next day I messaged before they closed to check in. She reassured she'd be in touch by the end of the day. I got nothing and waited another business business day and then reached out again and never heard back. I was very sad and let down as I felt like I was strung along and would have much rather just been told "We going with someone else or we don't think we're a good fit for you." Or whatever the reason may have been. I felt it really set me back in my process of finding a job and it really did shoot my confidence down when it came to finding something. In the end, I'm glad it worked out the way it did for me and I hope they were able to find someone as they conveyed how desperate they were for teachers (Apparently not that desperate though).
