Had an initial phone screen with a manager but the conversation seemed scripted and surface level. The manager also sounded disengaged and felt rushed throughout. I understand that professionals from within an organization are busy with other things on their schedule but when they're engaging with a candidate, the candidate such as myself usually can pick up on when the conversation isn't going as well as you thought. That being said, it still felt like an okay conversation as I had enough questions to ask and things to string along but I did have hope it would progress to the next stage.
