The internal interviewer reached out via email to schedule the initial phone screening. After selecting a date and time she had to cancel and reschedule last minute the day of the call. Two days after the phone screening she scheduled a virtual interview with the hiring manager. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism in the interview with him. He was dressed in a T shirt and did not know the name of the position I was interviewing for. He asked extremely vague questions about salesforce and could not give a clear definition of what it was they were looking for. The job was listed as an entry level position however he stated that he would not train any new hires and they would be expected to know Braze’s custom software from the start. As someone with 2+ years of salesforce experience and work in small tech companies It seemed like whatever answer I gave him he wouldn’t like. I chalk it up to he was in a bad mood that day given his attitude. If you are looking for individuals with much more experience my advice would be to list the position as a mid-senior level position and provide more detail on the application for what it is you are looking for. Also do not move applicants to the next round it you feel they are not experienced enough. Overall, this interview left a bad taste in my mouth for how the company was represented as a whole.
