The person I spoke too didn't know what the company did, she read from a script for about 15mins selling me on what the company, I cut the interview off after that. I literally put the phone on speaker so my friends could hear what some of the awful first rounds are like where you're talking to a talent person with zero talent! It was probably the best, worst, first round interview I've ever had. I literally just put her on speaker and she talked for 15mins with out taking a breath. Thank you, next!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Braze (London, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
Long winded, the task stage required a huge amount of work and I don’t feel gave you much opportunity to showcase your skills. The general interview questions were really generic, quite technically focused, and barely any situational
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Braze (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018
Interview
I applied online and the entire process took less than 2 weeks (from my first interview to the offer). I interviewed at Braze (San Francisco).
This was one of the best experiences I have had - both in terms of the interview and the hiring process. My first round was with the hiring manager who was extremely proactive and positive. It was obvious that she genuinely cares about her team and wants to ensure that there is a culture fit for any potential new employees. The second round had more detailed questions from another team member followed by a challenging project with a panel related to the company’s products. For me this project was a professional and unbiased method for both the candidate and the company to mutually understand if this role would be a good fit.
I received the offer within 2 days of my final round. Everybody on the team (the hiring manager as well as the HR team) was always very prompt, kind, and helpful.
Overall the interview process was extremely positive and incentivized me greatly to be a part of Braze.
