I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boost Insurance (New York, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
I was contacted on a recruiting site by the Director of Engineering, who was a really interesting guy and explained to me what the company did, the tech stack, etc. We then scheduled an in-person interview in the NYC office. I originally thought, "insurance? gross" and honestly just took the call and interview as practice, as they were one of the first companies to reach out during my job search.
The interview was about 4 hours, and consisted of a round with the Director of Engineering and CTO with regular interview-type questions (background, employment history, etc), a technical quiz and 2 longer-form problems with 2 of the developers, and a half hour at the end where the CEO tried to sell me on the company (he was very persuasive actually!).
I received a call a couple days later offering me the job. I was so impressed with the people I'd interviewed with that I took it.

Question 1
It kinda seems like it's cheating if you know the questions in advance, but they asked some simple questions to gauge my knowledge of programming, and two longer "thinking" type questions where you had to design a system to accomplish a goal.
