The developer interview process with Goboon.co was designed to thoroughly assess both technical skills and cultural fit, ensuring candidates are well-equipped to contribute to the company’s projects. The process typically began with an initial screening where candidates submitted their resumes and portfolios for review. Those who passed this stage were invited to take a technical assessment, which focused on problem-solving abilities, coding skills, and knowledge of relevant technologies.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boon (Culver City, CA)
Interview
The interview processes consisted of 2 phone interviews, with a sales rep and the CEO and an in-person interview with lasted about 1.5 hours. Pretty standard process but was impressed by the passion of the people working there.
What I appreciated most was their efficiency and communication throughout the process. The whole process took less than 3 weeks. Best way to apply is through their website.

Interview
I was initially approached by the company's assistant to start the interviewing process and was asked to go through a mental test series.
The tests were commissioned by a 3rd party that is helping companies evaluate candidates.
Going through this lengthy series of tests didn't bother me much and my results were stellar. I ranked in the 1%-5% top percentile in each and every test.
I then continued to schedule a phone interview with the CEO. It was conducted on a virtual call platform and the connection was not that great. We had to cut the call short and I was told by the CEO that he will reach out to set up another call only he never did.
He also never followed up to let me know that I was not a good fit for the role and he never responded to my follow up email.
This resulted in an overall bad experience.
