I applied online. I interviewed at Black Rock Restaurants (Brighton, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
I applied for the Social Media Specialist & Content Co-ordinator role in October. After some back-and-forth about interview dates, I suddenly received an email saying the position had been filled.
The same job was re-posted in November, so I applied again. This time I had a phone call and then an in-person interview. I was told I would hear back within a week, but never received any follow-up.
45 days later, the job was advertised again.
The lack of communication and feedback after candidates have spent time preparing, researching, travelling, and attending interviews feels unprofessional and disrespectful. The repeated re-posting of the role also suggests internal issues with the hiring process.
Additionally, the salary (around £30k) for managing five social media accounts seems unrealistic for the level of responsibility expected.
Overall, the process felt disorganised and raised several red flags.

Interview
I was briefed about the role through an agency, then met the Ops Director. The process moved quickly and I received feedback. Although I wasn't offered the role, it was a good experience. Friendly and relaxed.
