I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Berry Appleman & Leiden in Apr 2026
Interview
I interviewed for an entry-level Immigration Assistant role. The interviewer was five minutes late and did not acknowledge it. She asked about my immigration experience and two other questions, then mentioned they were looking for someone with more paralegal experience but would keep my resume on file. I wasn’t allowed to ask any questions, and the interview lasted only five minutes. Her tone was monotone, and she spent most of the time looking at another screen. I’m glad I didn’t get an offer, as I wouldn’t want to work at a company where that attitude might be shown to clients.

Interview
I first had an AI screening that asked pretty basic questions about my experience, and I had time to answer them. Then a phone interview that lasted about a half hour. I don’t remember all the questions but I remember them being pretty average and easy to answer on the spot based off my own experience.
