I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Beach House Group (Rockford, MI) in Jan 2023
Interview
Two stages: First there is a Primary interview with the HR generalist. This is just to establish expectations, What Salaries may range within, who will be interviewing you, and what they will want to know.
The Secondary with Director and Team Members, that's the REAL interview. The bigger the team, the more of these you will do. Whether you are qualified has already been established before you meet the Team, what is being determined here is whether or not you will gel with the crew. This is where most people DON'T make it. And they get bitter because the process takes a little while and Beach House wants to be sure, so when those people don't get it...they get angry like Beach House wasted their time. Never actually realizing that it was that very attitude...which they thought they hid... that got them passed over in the first place.
Over the course of several months I had multiple video interviews (maybe 5 interviews). With the exception of HR, their team seemed really nice. I was told that I'd be receiving a project, but all I received in the end was a very generic pre-formatted email saying that they've moved on and I didn't get the job.
I have lots of interview experience over my long career and in my experience, when you're that far down the road and you've put in hours of face time, it's unacceptable to just receive a generic email from HR.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
More of a dialogue reviewing the role and your experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Beach House Group (El Segundo, CA) in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview itself was not difficult, but I ended up having to come back three separate times as I moved forward in the process. This is very challenging for people who work. However, in the last year, they've really cut back on this and most hiring decisions are made after one visit, with some exceptions around senior level roles. I've also noticed a lot more interviews happening early in the morning (before 8 am) to accommodate candidate's schedules.

Interview questions were pretty standard for my role.
