The person who interviewed me on two occasions seemed genuinely nice, and I was very excited about the role as their values appeared to align closely with mine. However, I was left with a slightly sour taste following the interview process.
I was asked to create a presentation outlining ideas for a CRM strategy, which I spent over 8 hours preparing. While I appreciate that I was ultimately unsuccessful, what I found frustrating was the lack of feedback afterwards. I requested feedback on both the interview and my presentation, but unfortunately received no response.
When a candidate has invested a significant amount of time into an interview task, I feel it’s only fair to spend a few minutes providing constructive feedback, rather than sending a generic response stating that another candidate was more suitable. As a company that promotes empowering women as part of its ethos, this experience didn’t fully reflect that for me.
