I filled out my application form with all of my details, qualifications, diversity etc... I received an email saying I had 5 working days to complete an online assessment. However after one working day I received an email saying 'Barclays recruit on a rolling basis and as such we have now received a sufficient number of completed applications to fill our positions for this programme.' They said they wouldn't be taking my application further yet I can still take the assessment so it is very confusing as to whether my application constituted a 'completed' application or not. They should have removed the job advert rather than emailing people who had already applied saying they wouldn't be bothering with you. It was a waste of time to complete an application, to be told that you have 5 working days to complete an assessment and to then receive this email. It suggests they treat their employees badly and I won't be re-applying as a result.
