I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company in Oct 2021
Interview
Two rounds with two interviews each. Vast majority of interview is a "case," with a slightly longer focus on personal questions in the final rounds. With mid-levels and partners of the office you are applying to. "Case Interview Secrets" and "Case in Point" are the best resources for independent study, also highly recommend practicing with current consultants.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you interested in consulting?
Why are you interested in this office?
Case-style interview questions (e.g., should your client enter a new market, how can your client reverse declining sales, should they make an acquisition?)
2 cases for R1. Pretty straightforward cases about revenue optimization opportunities. There was a little bit of market sizing but all data needed was given. No behaviorals asked in round 1 for me.
