      Interview

Started off with a phone screen, then had an in-person interview with three individuals in the new Portland office. The reason they look for mechanical engineers is simply because they are technically trained and for the most part, have experience working with CAD/CAM software. In reality, this position is a great opportunity for engineering graduates that want a job at a new-age, modern company. The portland campus is in a great location, and is incredibly trendy. Although the down side to this position, is that it is a job that doesn't really use your major. Generally speaking, if one were to be using CAD/CAM software for long enough, they could probably do this job. The majority of the engineering side is being able to understand the technical jargon involved in the product troubleshooting with customers. Essentially, this job is a desk job where you will answer phone calls, emails, and write on forums to help those using the autodesk software. For the most part, the engineering degree itself will not be used. Most of this job is customer service and customer care.

      Question 1

I feel it would be unethical to give out interview questions, but I would encourage those interview for this position, to have a lot of problem solving situations in the back of their mind while interviewing. This job is about customer service, so have things prepared for it obviously.
