After 4 rounds of interviews and hours of preparation, the process ends with an automated rejection email, the same one sent to candidates who don’t even make it past the first stage, stating that the position has already been filled. There’s no personalised feedback, even after the final interview. Throughout the process, several interviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the company, having no internal alignment and a lack of expertise. Most concerning was that this was especially evident at the VP level, where the people making the final decisions did not appear well aligned with the responsibilities of their roles. A VP openly responding with “I don’t have an answer to your question,” and asking personal questions about my spouse, is simply unacceptable. The interviews provided no meaningful value, there was no knowledge exchange, no peer-level discussion, and no insight gained. In the end, the entire process felt like a significant waste of time and mental effort. At no point in the process was the net salary discussed, nor was it stated in the job description or addressed in the application form. This lack of transparency raises serious questions about how concrete the hiring intent actually was.
