I applied to Auth0's Engineering Launch Program to get hired as a Software Engineer I. The interview process was in four stages- the first of which being with a recruiter. Initially, it was mostly informational, but the information was laid out in a clear way, and the questions were more of a 'get to know you and your experience' process. Afterwards, there was another interview with an Engineering Manager at the company, and it was much more technical and I was asked not only scenario type questions but also more in depth questions about my experience with software engineering so far. The next interview was more about how I worked through my problem solving process and I walked through a coding problem while debugging and thinking about a better approach for the situation. The final stage of the interview process was a project presentation. Overall, I would say that the final stage of the interview process was my most favorite. I got to show off one of my projects that I had made as a student in a Software Engineering Immersive program and answer questions about it. Throughout the entirety of the process, each interviewer was really approachable and friendly! I really enjoyed getting to ask them questions about the company especially getting to talk with them about my experiences with software engineering projects. They were all clearly passionate about Auth0 and were definitely looking for someone to add value to their team. That being said, some aspects of the interview were quite challenging, and I definitely had to make sure that I was as prepared as possible for each stage of the process. Overall, I had a very positive interview experience with the team, and Auth0 exceeded my expectations in their entire process!
