I was emailed about setting up a phone interview only a few days after applying. The HR person and I were emailing to schedule a time. Before we could do that, she gave me the ol' "now, considering this is an entry-level position..." spiel to tell me how bad the pay was. Obviously not thrilled about it, I said I was "willing to consider the pay rate" and suggested a day and time for the phone call. Evidently, this was too non-committal of a response for her, and she never responded. Just another employer expecting you to grovel with gratitude that they're willing to pay at all.
