I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Asurion
Interview
Typical phone screen with recruiter followed by a hiring manager screen, then for second round a panel of interviewers.
The recruiter was great but the rest of the process was a mess. Lots of confusion over what the role actually was, followed by surprise questions specific to a role I was unaware I was interviewing for. Based on what I’ve heard from others this seems to be common at Asurion - just a little scattered with things moving around behind the scenes which makes it hard on external candidates who are along for the ride.

Question 1
Would like a role for which you didn’t know you applied?
I applied online. I interviewed at Asurion in Apr 2024
Interview
Remote interview was professional and cordial with good info sharing. In person interview with HR are fair and informative. However, subsequent interview with hiring manager displayed a I AM NOT INTERESTED attitude even though questions are promptly answered and professional. Seems like they have made up their mind who to hire.
Standard behavior interview. Hybrid and in person. Asked about core values, culture, motivation , and DEI. Lasted 30 mins each round with 2 panels. Virtual was pretty straightforward. In person was laid back vibe.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to learn something on the fly.
Fairly standard, no case-type questions. Very heavy on experience and culture. Must be a fit a person as well as professionally. Being an effective storyteller w/data also a huge plus.
