      Interview

The interview process was smooth, I didn’t receive a response regarding if I got the job or not which always sits negatively with me. You shouldn’t keep people waiting on a phone call while they are actively looking for a new job. And I ended up denying an interview waiting in that process, as I was confident in gaining the role. There was one phone interview and then an interview in person. The owner was actually there for my interview, which in no means is an issue, I was happy to meet him and get to know him. I will say it felt a bit unprofessional though. The conversation wasn’t centered around the company, and was more of getting to know me on a deep personal level and expressing the owners Christian values. Which in turn probably became a downfall for me, apparently people can’t hold a full time job and also build a business (which I was already doing). Obviously I’m a little bias and bitter due to the fact that not only was the conversation based a lot on religion for some reason, but also felt counterproductive, since the entire purpose of an interview is to see what skills I can apply to help the company be better. I believe the company is great and has wonderful stats when it comes to their education, training, and numbers of graduates to getting hired right after the program. But I hope they increase their level of professionalism whenever it comes to their interview process in the future.
