I had 2 interviews (1 phone and 1 video) and was invited for a 3rd interview which was supposed to be an in person interview and 2 days prior to it, they emailed me late at night about homework which included an entire audit of their marketing and social media channels, developing an entirely new strategy, defining KPIs and more which is 1) very last minute when the interview was confirmed a week before and the interview was in less than 48 hours and 2) way more than a regular assignment which is supposed to only be a 2-3 hours of work at the very most. Developing a strategy and doing an entire audit is at least a few days worth of work for 0 pay and perhaps no job. This was a huge red flag and so I turned down the in person interview. Too many companies assign "homework" to receive free advice and information at no cost to them.
After withdrawing, I never even got any response which is also quite unprofessional. All I got was a cancellation in the calendar event. Again, red flag and huge relief on my end for dodging this bullet.
