I feel as though the process was misleading
The process required a final 3 hour interview with many different members of the team. This lengthy interview required me to take off work - something I only felt comfortable with due to previous conversations with the recruiter making me feel confident there would be an offer. The recruiter wanted my verbal confirmation that I would decline offers outside of Appian and told me a start date that was sooner than what I said I could do (implying urgency to fill the role).
Many of the members did not have formal interview questions and I had to lead a lot of the conversations. This is fine to an extent but it felt relatively unprofessional and that the 3 hour interview was not necessary. Also, when I was not granted an offer it added frustration that I was not asked proper questions in the interview.
I see this in other Glassdoor reviews but when I asked for interview feedback/why I didn't get the role they say they couldn't provide details. All the recruiter could say was that they want someone with more experience - a confusing statement considering I matched the years of experience required in the job description and the base salary mentioned would be a decrease from what I'm currently making.
Overall very disappointing experience for something I became under the impression would be a great fit.
