I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Antaira Technologies (La Habra, CA)
Interview
Multistep interview process. Preliminary video interview is step 1. Step 2 is an unpaid test project. Step 3 is an in person life drawing test for some unknown reason (haven’t done that since college and obviously without practice I did terribly). Then final step is a 3 person interview, one of which being through video since she is out of state. Also, I was asked to bring my portfolio but they never asked to view it (They did see it before the first step of the interview process).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very basic questions that honestly felt like they were interviewing someone that is doing design as a hobby such as how would you save a typical filetype? What is an appropriate print dpi?

First there was a phone interview with the run of the mil questioning. I then somehow made it to the first round of in person interview which was very unprofessional. They had me take a 6 minute math test after that they made sketch still objects with charcoal for 30mins, which I haven't done since college. I mean traditional still life drawing is clearly new age and useful in graphic design? I didn't know I was going to illustrate storybooks. Then finally an interview with the marketing manager and some random person that didn't contribute to the interview. I was ask to bring my portfolio and I didn't get to show or was asked about it.

They will give you a analytical test. Then, they will let you see one of their product, you will observe and read its description for 10 minutes. Then, you will present that product for 5 minutes as their sales specialist to them as your potential customer. After that, they will start to ask your background, personality, ability, about their company, etc.
