Angi recruited me for a leadership role and put me through a demanding, multi-week interview process—including hours of interviews, a detailed take-home assignment, and a live prompt during a series of interviews that I was explicitly told had “no wrong answer” and was simply meant to assess my thought process. Throughout, I was told how well I was doing and how strong a fit I was. Then, a week after completing everything, I was rejected because I “got the prompt wrong”—the same one they claimed couldn’t be answered incorrectly. To make it worse, I was told they chose another candidate, but weeks later, the job is still open. Either they lied, or they never intended to hire in the first place. It’s incredibly frustrating and feels like a complete waste of time—like they’re collecting free labor and ideas under the pretense of hiring. If you value your time and professional integrity, avoid this company’s interview process to avoid future disappointment.
