Recruiter contacted via LinkedIn. Was very helpful in understanding the Recruitment Process and shared resources and tips. First round is an Online Assessment comprising of questions related to AWS and Architecture. Second round, in person interview with a Senior Solutions Architect who asked on various use-cases and approach to solutions, troubleshooting etc. Third Round was a self-paced Assignment on AWS troubleshooting with documentation to be shared prior to the next round. Final Round was a full day, panel interview with 5 people from different backgrounds viz. Hiring Manager, Senior Solutions Architect, Account Manager and Business Manager each asking questions based out of the Amazon Leadership Principles. Only one round was Technical Whiteboard Session to explain Architecture approach. Was also asked on the Assignment and Troubleshooting questions. Recruiter was very prompt and helpful in guiding at each stage. However, post the final round, Recruiter said I was being referred for a different position as the current position is internally closed. I didn't hear any update about it for 8 weeks until I approached the Recruiter who said my candidature has been closed. There was no email from Amazon nor the Jobs Portal was showing any progress as it was archived due to the position being filled internally. Didn't expect this from such a reputed organisation like Amazon. Felt very disappointed that I spent about 2 weeks of solid preparation which resulted in no proper communication and closure about the end result of the interview.
