I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Algolia (Paris) in Nov 2017

Long, but thorough process that took in around 14 conversations, both individually via Zoom and a whole day of onsite conversations. Additionally there was a short presentation to be given.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Algolia (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
Algolia is a company that is very human-focused and value driven. The company is focused on their five values (viewable on their website) and the interview process, which is slow and long (which is good!), ensures candidates are a holistic fit with the company.
I met with 4 people via phone and completed an assignment before an on-site interview occurred.
When I did come onsite, i interviewed with 14 people in 6 hours, providing a cross-section of the company's departments to ensure I was qualified and they liked me. I enjoyed the casual interviews and everyone was really, really awesome.
The long, slow process showed me that Algolia is very deliberate about who they hire and in turn, made me choose Algolia as my new work family.
