Alex's Lemonade Stand interview questions

One of the worst interview experiences I have had. I am generally very friendly and will warm to most people with minimal effort on their part. I was very interested in the opportunity to work with this organization, which I knew personally and which funds such important research. But this time, my interviewer was a jerk. I had a phone interview. The interviewer made it clear he reached out to me because of a detail in my educational history that he had in common, and he wanted to tell me at length about his experiences in that field (he didn't ask me about mine). Still, I was determined to take this as an attempt to engage with me. During the actual interview he criticized the length of my resume (one page) and asked me "if I'd done my research, what did I know about the organization". I have known about the organization since I was a child as I am from the area, and gave a very personal answer about my familiarity with them as well as stating I was aware they fund pediatric cancer research and family support programs. He then pressed, asking "did I know any more detail than that about the research they fund" (because apparently I was supposed to research and understand highly technical medical details about neuroblastoma and molecular glue). I asked him to enlighten me, and he actually floundered, too, since he is not a medical doctor, either, and then proceeded to tell me about family support programs and tell me to read the website about the "crazy 8 initiative" projects. Overall, the phone call left a bad taste in my mouth. Nevertheless, I followed up to thank him for his time, and sent a longer version of my resume since one page is apparently not enough contrary to all the advice I've been given for this job market and this level of a position, and he never responded.

I had a phone interview with the Director of HR, who then moved me onto a video interview with the Data Entry manager and one of the Co-Founders of ALSF. Afterwards, I was asked to provide references as a last step before I was offered the position.
