Pretty straight forward, you send in your cv and then they contact you further if you meet the criteria. The next step is a digital interview, where you film yourself answering the questions. I believe there was 5 questions from what i remember

      Application

I interviewed at Air New Zealand (Auckland, Auckland)

      Interview

Quite a lengthy process, first step was the initial application, then about 4 weeks later I received an email asking me to complete a video interview. After that I waited about 2 weeks until I received another email asking me to complete a cognitive assessment which consisted of maths, literacy and shapes etc, it was pretty difficult but easy at the same time. 4 weeks later I received another email inviting me to a Assesment day with other candidates and current flight attendants, the recruiters split you into groups e.g (Group A & B) one group with do the interviews first and the other will do a group activity and then rotate. The interview is a behavioural based interview with a few situational based questions and the group activity is a problem solving task, Make sure you contribute in this as the recruiters are looking at How well you can work in a team under pressure. Please also remember to put forward a good impression from the moment you step into the Assesment day as the recruiters are watching you. They also give a little intro about the company. My interview was on a Wednesday and I heard back the following Monday with another email outlining the vetting process which consists of (2x references, police check, background check, drug & medical, swimming test and first aid) You are given 2 weeks to complete all of this. The faster you get this done the better. Once you complete this step successfully then they will advise you that you are in the talent waiting pool and will be in contact when there is an available training date. Once you get your training date, you pretty much have to resign from your current role as they give you 4 weeks notice. The training is 4 weeks long which consists of emergency procedures and customer service and it is INTENSE! All assessments and exams are pass or fail and you have to pass everything. Once you graduate you will be given your roster and for the first few flights, they are assessments where a trainer will sign you off. But overall, the recruitment process is lengthy but worth it in the end. If you’re in the recruitment process at the moment, I wish you the best of luck and remember to be yourself at the interview, It’s not as scary as it seems 🤎🤎
