I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Aerotek (Woburn, MA) in Aug 2013
Interview
An Aerotek employee referred me for a recruiter position. The process started with a 30-minute phone screen, which was a conversation about the position, company, and some basic personal questions. I was then asked to come in for an interview with the branch director. I was asked a bit about myself and a couple of behavioral questions, but the interview was cut short (I was given no explanation). I was then asked to come in again for an interview with two account managers. The interview lasted about an hour, I was given an office tour and asked a lot of behavioral questions. The interviewers also explained that there is basically no work-life balance and seemed proud of the fact that they had zero friends outside of their Aerotek coworkers. I was then contacted for a half-day shadow where I spent a half hour at a time with various employees. After that I was once again contacted for a breakfast meeting with two different account managers, where they once again stressed that I would have no time for family or friends outside of work if I ended up at Aerotek (I think they were trying to make it seem like an exclusive club). The last interview was about 5 weeks after the phone screen. I had four in person interviews. I was told I would be contacted the following week but never heard anything and never got a response to a couple of follow-up emails. By the end of it I was unsure whether I wanted the job at all, but I found it to be very unprofessional that I didn't get as much as a "thank you for your time but we have filled the position" email.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you found out your company was doing something against the law, like fraud, what would you do?
The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.

Question 1
What motivates you?
What’s your “why”?
Are you a go-getter?
Average difficulty covering standard interview questions. Phone screen followed by an in-person interview. Phone screen was received quickly after resume submission; in-person was with their head recruiter and then followed by one with their manager.
Phone screening call with the recruiter giving me information about the job, then another virtual call interview more in depth to ask me more questions. The final interview is in person in their office.
