I applied online. I interviewed at Aerotek (Rosemont, IL) in Nov 2018
Interview
Two things bothered me. 1. I mentioned to both my phone recruiter and in person recruiter that I had traveled over 3 hrs there and back to interview in person. They wanted me to travel AGAIN just to shadow the job. The in person interview and job shadow really could all have been done in one day. 2. They commonly mentioned " you will be expected to work a MINIMUM of 7am- 6:00pm everyday, some days working 12 hrs". (plus the Rosemont commute is 1hr into the city ) I would repeatedly get calls from my recruiter past 6pm and even on Sundays. You have potential to make a lot of money but you'll never get to enjoy life outside work. In total, I got very bad vibes. I've had MULTIPLE friends work there for only a year before they got burned out on the hours and had to leave.
The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What motivates you?
What’s your “why”?
Are you a go-getter?
Average difficulty covering standard interview questions. Phone screen followed by an in-person interview. Phone screen was received quickly after resume submission; in-person was with their head recruiter and then followed by one with their manager.
Phone screening call with the recruiter giving me information about the job, then another virtual call interview more in depth to ask me more questions. The final interview is in person in their office.
