AT&T almost always begins with an online application followed by an aptitude or skills assessment. Many candidates receive an interview invitation immediately after passing the assessment. After the assessment, a recruiter typically calls to verify your background, availability, and interest in the role. This step often happens within a few days.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Austin, TX) in Jul 2019
Interview
I first applied for the job online and received an email inviting me to take an online assessment quiz. After the quiz I had to wait quite a while to hear back. I eventually was contacted and scheduled a phone interview that was very brief. I then had a virtual zoom interview scheduled. And after all of this communication I had a final in person interview with the managers at the Austin location listed as my preferred store. I was told later that I had already secured the job prior to the in person interview, but was unaware of that information walking into the interview. Overall I felt the process was fairly extensive and potentially designed to instill the idea to those applying that it was very difficult to secure and anyone getting an offer would be one of few lucky enough to get a callback. But this is only my opinion after witnessing the differing personalities and skill sets in my own store. I really loved my job for the first two years for the lifestyle it allowed me and opportunities it provided, but quickly grew out of that space in life and decided to transition back to academia. I also love interviewing so my review comes from finding fun in talking to the interviewers about my potential with the company.

Interview
Very detailed interview process, the manager Robin was tough. Throughout the process she gave me the toughest questions. I was called into the location to meet with her in person. We sat in her office and she was taking notes on what I was saying.
