      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (San Diego, CA) in May 2013

      Interview

I met recruiter at a job fair and gave my name and email address. A week later I received an email to apply online. The online application process took several hours to complete due to many detailed questions that required me to dig into my file cabinet going back many years. I also had to answer a series of questions and take two online tests. One was related to the job I was applying for and the other was about my character and values. About a week later I was asked for an interview. It was a group interview with one other person. The interviewer took turns asking us sets of questions and a different person went first each time. The questions were typical interview questions with a few behavioral questions like describe your worst customer experience and how did you handle it. The job was full-time but I was asked if I would be willing to work part-time. The interview lasted about 30-40 minutes. I feel I did well on the interview considering I did not have any sales experience. I did not get a job offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

For me, it was the question about the most difficult customer, because it had been several years since my last job and all my customer experiences were on the telephone.

      Interview

It is a basic customer service and teamwork questions. Asks you to teach them how to do something you're passionate about. Nothing crazy or unexpected. Laid back but professional, answered all my questions as well.
