2 stage process, first stage Teams meeting, second stage face-to-face including a task related to my role.
Communication surrounding the interviews was strong and timely. Interviewees were warm, welcoming, and professional. Was made to feel at ease and given the space to ask questions.
Was given several days to prepare for the task, and the ask was reflective of the kind of work I would be executing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
To talk through previous relevant experience in the form of examples.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AQA (Manchester, England) in May 2026
Interview
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that tests your basic English and maths skills and your ability to understand instructions. Then I was asked to do a one-way video interview through HireVue. Usually, I don't like doing these but the way this one was set up made it a much more comfortable experience. It consisted of an introduction video with an unlimited amount of time and attempts to complete and then five questions for which you had a three minute time limit to record but you were only timed once you clicked record, so you had unlimited time to prepare for each question. Only the first three questions were interview-style questions, the fourth was just about my availability, and then the final question was just if I had anything else to add and gave me a chance to ask a few questions myself, which I appreciated because my main issue with one-way interviews is that they typically do not allow candidates to ask questions. After this, I was offered the job. There was no interview with a person.
