      Project Manager Interview

      29 Sept 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Norfolk, VA
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Norfolk, VA) in Jul 2016

      Interview

Phone interview with company recruiter, then an in person interview with 3 people...separately. The process didn't take too long, and wasn't terribly difficult...just right actually. Also, let me say that I had a really good feeling about working for ADP, especially since I was referred by my friend. That being said, they asked for my salary requirements in the first call, and I provided without hesitation. After having a great interview with several people in person, I ended up declining because the first offer was 20k less than what I asked for...even after they increased it 5k...still didn't get me to 100k, which was my absolute lowest after dropping the salary originally requested. Overall it was a fairly decent experience, though I found the discussions in my first phone screening a little challenging; in addition to the follow up discussions with the verbal offer and discussion concerning salary... She kept interrupting me, and I thought it was kind of rude...honestly, I don't think she's rude, I don't think she even knows she's doing it I'm a bit disappointed to hear of at least one person that took a 90k salary...pretty sure they were hiring several PM's..wish she'd have held out, though I never got another counter offer. They appear to use some sort of data that shows the average salary in the area to determine the max offer for a particular position in a given area.

      Interview

I was invited for an on-site interview at the company's headquarters. The process was straightforward, lasting about 20 minutes—a standard HR screening. It began with a warm welcome from the recruiter, followed by questions on my background, skills, and motivation for the role. We discussed my resume highlights and availability.

      Product Manager Interview

      30 Sept 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Milton Keynes, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ADP (Milton Keynes, England) in Sept 2025

      Interview

All interviews facilitated remotely. First I was invited to a call with a recruitment partner from ADP. A ‘get to know’ and eligibility session. Very friendly and informal. First ‘official’ stage interview with hiring manager, another informal ‘get to know eachother’ and some background about why they’re hiring, the expectations for the role and a bit about the company. I was only asked to talk a little about my experience and my motivations to apply. It was really an open chat. Second interview was a meet the team (two other Product Managers) and the hiring manager. Another fairly informal session, get to know the product, including a screen demo, finished by some competency based questions, which were elaborated on by the other PMs to understand how I work and my approach to agile / ceremonies, user story writing etc. Again, didn’t feel too formal, they were really just trying to determine if I’d be suitable to work with. No further interviews beyond that - was offered the role! Worth mentioning this was the way the hiring manager likes to interview, you may not have the same experience with another hiring manager. Really efficient process all in all, with a good level of communication from the recruitment partner throughout the process.
