I interviewed at ABC Plus English School (Nagoya, Aichi)
Interview
I had 2 interviews, one one by the head teacher and one by the owner, through Zoom and remember the questions were similar. In my first interview, I couldn’t answer a grammar question. I did some research and I was able to answer the same question in my second interview.
Two interviews, quick process. They ask simple questions and you just have to not be an idiot or arrogant and you will probably get the job. Also, remember to be professional. Even if you don't think of it as a "real" job, they are paying real money, so they deserve that respect at least

Question 1
What would you do if your student asks the meaning of a word that you don't know?
Saw the job posting through Dave's ESL Cafe & emailed in my resume, cover letter and references. The first phone interview was with the head teacher and the second one was with the director.
They want to know about previous teaching experience, your interest in Japanese culture/language & any international experiences you've had. Some questions are situational (tell me about a time when...). They ask a few grammar questions at the end.
How would you correct this student's mistake? Explain to the student (using simplified language) why this sentence is incorrect.
(For example): I has much apples.
