Interview
I was contacted by a talent manager on LinkedIn regarding a role that genuinely piqued my interest. During our first interview, he explained the role and the company, while I provided an overview of my experience. At the end of our discussion, he mentioned that my application would be passed along to the hiring manager.
However, I was surprised to receive an automated rejection email the very next day, stating I wouldn’t move forward to the next step. I followed up several times to request feedback, even just a brief explanation of the decision to that Talent manager, but received no response.
Reaching out to candidates and then ghosting them after a single interview without any explanation is not only unprofessional but also shows a lack of respect for the time and effort candidates put into the process.
