Interview
I have attended the 1st round interview for Data Engineer role at New York conducted by Technology Lead and Head of Engineering. The overall experience was bad, they have rescheduled the interview twice and they do not respect candidates time.
I wanted to bring to your attention an ongoing concern regarding communication. It has been consistently observed that there is a lack of proactivity in communication on their part. Specifically, there have been multiple instances where messages go unanswered. I have personally sent emails on several occasions, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. This lack of communication can lead to misunderstandings and delays in the interview process.
I understand that everyone is busy, but timely communication is crucial to ensuring that we stay aligned and address any issues promptly. I would greatly appreciate it if they could work towards improving this aspect moving forward.

Interview
I went through three rounds of interviews with five different people that all seemed very positive. After the third interview, I followed up a couple times over about three weeks, before I heard back that some people were on vacation (it was summertime, so that is to be expected) and I would hear more on next steps in about a week. I was also told to keep them posted on things on my end (which I took as a very positive sign).
Three more weeks went by with me following up multiple times with no response. Then, I received an automated rejection email from their ATS. When I followed up for some feedback as to where they felt I was lacking as a candidate, and was completely ghosted.
When a candidate has invested the time for interviews with 5 different people, that candidate deserves a lot more than an automated reply from an ATS to reject them for the role, and should not be ghosted when they follow up with the people who arranged the interviews.
If that is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine how they treat employees.
