How is management perceived at O'Brien Auto Group?

They’ll hire anyone with a pulse

Everything from management to pay is terrible, no incentive to move up or do more. They are squeezing out flat rate with short payouts

Coworkers are great and direct manager is understanding

No vacation for your first year, managers will bend over for every customer complaint then blame the advisor, high tension between shop, advisor and parts. GM is very much "I want you to work 6x12s a week while I do nothing" type of mentality. GM and Service manager are quick to react and punish advisors. Clueless on how to run an automotive shop. Poor 401k contribution, vacation benefits horrible, environment is all around terrible.

None, maybe pay if you’re willing to sell everyone unnecessary items

Service manager has no real power. GM comes from sales and thinks anyone can be a service advisor so he sees no value in his service staff. A real “I had to walk uphill both ways” kind of guy but out of touch and treats his staff like crap. On top of that everyone up the food chain are car salesmen so that mentality is not limited to the GM.

I quite enjoyed my time at O'Brien. All colleagues on the call centre floor were always so lovely - including the management. The pay was pretty good and I liked that there were monthly bonuses on top if we hit our targets.

Management could be a little stressful at times, but it is their job to ensure their teams are reaching their targets.
